On March 2nd at the 97th Academy Awards, “Anora” emerged as the biggest winner. The movie is a strip club version of the Cinderella story. It took home five awards, including Best Actress for breakout star Mikey Madison, and a historic four awards for its director, Sean Baker. Baker made history as the first person to personally win four Oscars for a single film — directing, editing, writing, and producing.
 　Both Madison and Baker used their speeches to honor the lives of sex workers, echoing sentiments they shared when “Anora” won the Palme d’Or at Cannes.
 　Meanwhile, Adrien Brody secured his second Best Actor Oscar for “The Brutalist,” which earned three awards in total. Kieran Culkin won Best Supporting Actor for “A Real Pain,” and Zoe Saldana claimed Best Supporting Actress for “Emilia Perez.” The ceremony drew 19.7 million viewers, the largest Oscar audience in five years, signaling a renewed interest in Hollywood’s biggest night.
