The South Korean boy band known as the Bangtan Boys performed their hit song “Dynamite” at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on March 14th. This is BTS’third consecutive year at the Grammy Awards. In 2019, they made history as the first Korean group to present at the Grammys. In 2020, they became the first Korean act to perform, joining Lil Nas X’s performance. This year they appeared as performers as well as nominees.
BTS was nominated for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Dynamite.” This nomination is a first for a K-pop group. “Dynamite” topped the Billboards for weeks when it was released last August. The song’s message is for the fans to brighten up their lives in a tough time.
Other performers included Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and other household names. Artists came together, while safely apart, to celebrate the music event.
